In each of the industries I’ve worked in, a great project management tool is key to your growth and also to your organization within your business. It helps to make sure nothing slips through the cracks and helps track your business from start to finish. There are many tools that you can use for this, and there are some better project management/team management tools out there that I will touch on in another post as well.
Dubsado is one of the tools that I integrated at the start of this business. It has many layers that you can take advantage of within your business. The key ones that I use it for are :

- Sending Proposals
- Sending Contracts
- Sending Invoices – Re-occuring and One-Time invoices
You can also use it to track your hourly time for those clients as well.
What has been important to me, is this is one of the first touches that they have to your business and to your personality. You can customize every part of the proposal and add in custom headers, numbers, text to make the proposal feel custom and a representation of your branding.
Dubsado just released its 3.0 version which provides some major updates to the interface. If you’ve tried it in the past, I invite you to give it a try again. It is a much cleaner dashboard, and includes some improved scheduling aspects. As I build out a more custom portal and homepage for my clients, I hope to share more of that progress and what I find works best within the 3.0 interface.
